Marketing Tips: Write more about your product
Providing more information about your product is important to make the buying decision easier for your customer. However what exactly constitutes more information. But also what type of information or documents should be created for your product. Well of course this will depend upon the type of product that it is, however here are a few ideas.
- Articles – Writing articles about your product either for the internet or to offer to print publishers for use in their publication, can help to get your product in front of more people. For the Print Publications you do need quite high quality articles, and they may not all accept articles just about a single product from the company that sells the product. For the internet while it is to your advantage to provide the same quality, the articles dont generally need to be as long.
- Hold a Webinar – A webinar can allow you a chance to promote your product through a series of presentations or lecture’s, either through web, audio or video base. This can allow you to convey much more detailed information in the order that you would like it showed. It can also create a more robust and interesting way for people to find out more information about your product.
- Tutorials – If you have a product that is quite detailed, it can be worth creating one or more tutorials to help your customer get through the learning curve. If going down this path it can be worth working with one or two customers to find out what they would have like to see in a tutorial, and such. In this way you can almost always create something that it going to be more useful to other customers.
- White Papers – You can use white papers to convey detailed information about the specifics of your products, along with research, and other information to build the credibility of your product or application of your product.
Providing more information in any of these ways can really help to provide more value and make it easier for sales people to provide just the information that your customers want. Depending on your product the more information you can provide the more you can place your product as a leader in your field, that is as long as the product and information provide a quality combination.
