Marketing Tips: Creating your Credibility
Credibility is one of the best ways to create a better image for your company, and your product. As i have previously mentioned, it is important to build credibility not just for your company and product though but for your staff as well. However you may be wondering just what are the best ways to build this credibility.
- Case Studies – Where you have provided a product or service, or combination, in a detailed setup it can be worth taking detailing the installation or setup in a case study. What this basically does is show your ability to provide a product or service to a customer in a specific project. The larger the scale the more impact the case study may have. However be aware that the more specific a case study the more chance that it will not help you connect to other potential clients who may be looking for something different.
- Expert Reviews -You can gain credibility through what other people who have their own level of credibility say about you. For example if you are new manufacture of Digital Camera’s and while the specifications of your product are good, people may be wary to spend the money on your product. However if the product was reviewed by a leading digital camera magazine, it immediately gives your new product something more solid behind it.
- Testimonials – While you employee sales people and many other people to fulfill different roles in your business, often your customer can be your best sales person. Mainly because they have bought your product and if they like it they will tell people. If you can get them to put it in writing it lets you share more about what your customers think with potential customers.
- Portfolio – If you create products individually for each customer (eg Websites, or other design based services) Then having a portfolio to show off your work is very important. This can show that you are able to provide the service that you are trying to sell and can show your variety.
Building credibility in your products is very important and should not be something that you let lapse. The better the credibility in your business, staff and products, often the easier they become to sell.
