There is absolutly no doubt that blogging is becoming very popular for personal and business purposes. While it has been something that many people have done on a personal level for some time, from the business point of view, it has had a much slower take up. This is not to say that from a business point of view it is either a good or bad thing but it does depend more so what your business is if blogging will be an advantage or disadvantage to your business.
From a personal point of view there is little reason why someone would or would not choose ot blog it is a personal choice about sharing with pretty much anyone different parts of their life. For a business the motive will often be much different and will be fairly specific to the business it self.
While one business may just want to share a little about their business, and have their business appear if anything slightly more human, another may be looking to maximise profit by engaging customers, and yet another may be wanting to get customers interested in new products. Whatever the reasoning behind blogging for a business there is often one motivation either prominent or not and that is for building additional profit. While the occasional business may have other motives, i doubt they are common.
What this call comes down to is taking the time to consider if blogging is going to be a benefit to your business or not. While it is possible that anyone can blog, it is not always the case that it will be a benefit for everyone. If you cannot see true benefits for your business, based on your blogging then it is more then likely mmaybe not going to be worth your time. However if you can provide a blog with good quality content that will help your customer colve a problem while also helping to show your customer’s you are an expert in the field, this has the potential to draw to you more customers, and to build a customer base that will continue to come back and see you for there needs long into the future.
