Is a new business really what i need…

Putting together the actual frame work of a new business idea that moves away from previous businesses is actually a lot more difficult then it would seem. Ever since starting this blog it has been my aim to look towards building a business that moves away from the technology sector, and into something completely new and different.

It has quickly become aware that even if you make a simple decision to change the type of business it is still surprisingly difficult to actually start thinking along a different path. While i know i want a business in a different industry my primary thoughts are on businesses in the technology sector, and how i can really pursuit this industry effectively and actually make a profit in doing so. While i am aware that this is not something that is easy to achieve and offers more challenges then it really solves.

I feel that even with the challenges and the such i am better prepared to face these challenges due to my experience previously with the business i have been running in the industry. The primary focus that i have been lacking in this business though is that i do not really have a good handle on marketing the business and as such a lack of clients. Of course as anyone in business knows you need clients to make money and without making money then you have really no business. So in reality the challenge is not so much even starting a new business it is getting clients to the business i already have. Which may or may not be a challenge.

I think that i need to spend some time looking at different marketing programs and building my awareness of what it takes to market to the people i want as customers.
